Like a fine wine, Chardonnay (Sharduna) is an exquisite blending of soft, fine, crimpy fleece, rich color, and great genetics. She is 1/4 Accoyo, light fawn that has dark color and elite fleece in her background and "should have been black" when you look at her lineage. When we looked at Chardonnay's dark colored background, breeding her to Black was the logical choice, and she has produced award-winning results!

Her first cria, a True Black male, CCAP Onyx, took a Blue Ribbon at the National Champions' Alpaca Show. We were so thrilled with Sharduna's 2009 cria, CCAP Chardonnay's Rumm Cake, sold at the 2011 Priority Auction, that we repeated the breeding to 10x Champion Rumm Runner. Chardonnay's Rumm Cake, born on 12-6-09, is a female Bay Black cria out of Rumm Runner and nothing short of outstanding! On 6-13-11, Sharduna delivered a beautiful Fawn Male, CCAP Gold Medal Rumm, sired by 10x Champion, Rumm Runner!

There's color in her genes, and on the ground! Sharduna's light color came from her elite grandsire 6Peruvian Accoyo Titan, who sold at the 2007 Breeder's Choice Auction for $250,000! With dark color in her background, we would continue to breed her for "color". Sharduna will make an excellent addition to your color breeding program, and deliver exceptional value.
