What Barn Owl Dairy Goats has to say about Presto (the following quote and more images can be found HERE
"Presto is an exciting buck combining the two most influential herdsires behind the Tempo and Barnowl herds, Tach Lach and Travis. He is a very large buck showing great dairy strength, solid feet and legs, and the incredible long-tall style the Tach progeny have become known for with the socked on mammary genetics from Travis. His sire Very Dark (EX89) is behind the 2014 ADGA Reserve National Champion, CH Barnowl Bernice, as well as the 2014 Oregon and Washington State Fair Champion, SGCH Barnowl Aurelia. Both of these does are 2/3 genetic siblings to Presto. His dam “Abbie” (EX91) was a multi-BOB and BIS winner who placed in the top ten four consecutive years at Nationals. Abbie’s twin sister Hockus has been reluctant to give us doe kids in the past four years (instead opting for triplet and quad bucks!), thus we are excited to bring in the BewitchedxTach genetics via Presto.
We are excited to be able to bring back not only are own genetics via Abbie, but also reintroduce the Very Dark genetics that are proving this year to work so well with our herd. A special thank you to Jessica McDonald of Son*Sational Farms for the great lease trade, we hope you get some beautiful animals out of Occult."

What Barn Owl Dairy Goats has to say about Elena (the following statement and more images can be found HERE.
"According to our relief-milker Ruthie, Elena is a “stud-muffin.” Easily our tallest, longest, and most elegant doe, Elena exemplifies dairy character, sharpness, and levelness. Likewise, Elena’s progeny have been consistent with continuing this superb dairy character. However, we have only her 2011 doeling Kerrigan in our ownership, as Elena has proven to be our most popular doe with other breeders and her many daughters and sons have flourished in herds throughout the country. Elena was also Mariah’s showmanship doe, following after her sister Surya and dam Katya—a family of does that helped Mariah to win four National Champion Showmanship titles (1998, 2002, 2003, & 2005). Making this a line that is practically legendary for their superb personality.
By the time Elena passed on at 15 years old on our 2018 Linear Appraisal day, she truly had become a legend in and of herself.
Our tribute when she died: Elena did amazing all winter long, finally finding her maternal instincts when she adopted a solo November-born baby doe as her own, and never lost her fiesty streak as she reminded granddog Jaeger who was boss at every opportunity (yes, a 14-year old doe chased a terrier up the driveway nipping at his tail). She loved her senior citizen treats, but the heat was not her friend and a fast decline in the past month led to her quietly saying good bye just hours before our Appraisal session started. Because it was Appraisals, Mariah and others were here to say goodbye and thankfully she seemed to be in no serious pain, it was just time to fade away. She was Mariah’s last showmanship goat, winning together the 2005 ADGA Senior Showmanship Champion title, and daughter of Mariah’s first national-winning showmanship doe Katya in 1998, making white, wattled does a bit of her trademark. She was beloved by all our local help, even nicknamed “the studmuffin” by a family friend. While it is never easy to say goodbye, especially to a doe who has been with us for the majority of our herd’s incarnation and is literally in many of our family portraits, getting to show off her daughter Edelina (3-3 FS91 EEEE) and granddaughter Eliona (1-6 FS88 VEEE) today reminded us that the greatest gift of farm life is that the cycle of life keeps cycling. Thank you Elena for all the time you gave us, you were so much more than just another goat."

What Barn Owl Dairy Goats has to say about Elena (the following statement and more images can be found
HERE"Looking more like a 6-year old than a 12-year old, Elena delivered a beautiful set of white, waddled twin does. Although she was very healthy, we decided that she deserved to have a healthy retirement and not be pushed to have more pregnancies, so these two–Edelina and Elizaveta–were our last two Elena daughters. And indeed, Elena did have a healthy, vibrant retirement, passing on in summer of 2018 at nearly 15 years old. In an excruciating decision, we parted with Elizaveta as a yearling, but absolutely love our Edelina.
Freshening in 2017, Edelina came in with a very correct mammary and even pretty good teat placement for this line, as well as the strong body capacity we’ve come to expect from Presto daughters. In 2018, Edelina truly began to mature into one of the most correct does in our herd. She is not as stylish as Auriga, or has the same va-va-voom mammary of Encore, and certainly not the size or stature of Quivira, but she is possibly a more all around sound doe who, like her dam, is built for the long haul. Edelina made for a fascinating 3 year old to show, in classes of 10 or more does, this quiet little doe won nearly 50% of her spring show classes. However, she never placed 2nd, making her truly a “love her or not see her” type doe, but for those judges who took the time, they found it difficult to fault her. As it turned out our 2018 appraiser said basically the same thing, making her an easy final score 91 with excellents across the board. While she literally got accidentally left home to our only club show of 2019, the appraiser once again found her exceptional and made her another “easy” final score 91 all E’s.
The figure skater line–our beloved white, waddled ladies registered under Mariah’s name–really came to the forefront in 2019. While Edelina individually wasn’t the leader of this group (her fancy uddered daughter Eliona was), she was the keystone for their big group class wins at Nationals, Oregon State Fair, and Washington State Fair. It seems we’ve really found the right step with this line and are very excited for Edelina, Eliona, Yuna, and the young does Evgenia, Ekaterina, and 2020 kids Elysa and Surya. If you’ve long admired this line, now is the time to invest! "
