Gill is the son of Semolina and Pharaoh. Semolina was a first freshener who was appraised as young stock in 2016. Her final score was V; V EC EC. After completing her first year milking, her record was 237 1806 3.9P 5.2 F. Her appraisal score in 2017 was 85 (V,+,V,+). She earned her Superior Genetics designation as a first freshener! She was appraised in August 2018 with a final score of 86 (V,E,V,+). Gill is a loudly marked brown and white buck who could do good things in your herd! He has been tested and is G6D (N/N) - normal - not a carrier. We have been using him this Fall and Winter. His kids are showing lots of color!!

Crocus or Crows as she is called in our barn is a large, easy to milk doe. She produced 2531 lbs of milk (111P, 156F) in 600 days. In her next freshening she produced 2170 lbs of milk (88P, 118F) in 379 days. Her 2016 Linear Appraisal score was 85 V + E +. Her 2017 Linear Appraisal score was 87 V V V V. She was appraised again in 2018 and her score was 89 V E V V. We were not appraised in 2019. Crow completed her 2019 lactation with 540 lbs of milk in 165 days (rebred early). In her 2020 lactation, she produced 1312 lbs of milk in 229 days with 71 lbs of butterfat and 50 lbs of protein. She kidded in January 2021 and has produced 1247 lbs of milk in 193 days with 73 lbs of butterfat and 45 lbs of protein. She was appraised in August 2021 and scored V E E E 90.

Details

Barkal is the son of Crow (Crocus), an 8 year-old milker who is giving nearly 9 lbs of milk a day. At the end of her 5th lactation, she had given a lifetime total of 7,132 lbs of milk, 402 lbs of butterfat, and 291 lbs of protein. His sire, Gill, now sold to another dairy, is a very correct, beautifully marked buck.
