I have so much to say about Winky. She is one of the best girls to milk. Her udder and teats are in my opinion perfect for a homesteader who uses the old fashioned method of hand milking. Her udder is soft, her teats are large, and expresses a nice open stream. She gives us half a gallon on once a day milking. If I milked her twice daily im sure her production would be upwards of a gallon. She's an excellent mother too! Winky was a bit shy when she first came and it has taken a lot of time and patience to get her to come around. She loves treats and will jump on the stand for me and squat for her milking session. Just a wonderful girl! She is a daughter to Black Mesa Leonardo Dicapra *B. Update 8/21/2025: Winky was not able to participate in 2025 Linear Appraisal because her tattoo was not legible. We are going to fix this by getting her microchipped! Also, we have changed the feed regimen for Winky. She cannot be on any Alfalfa, solely grain hay and grain. She is an incredibly productive doe, and we noticed when she's on Alfalfa that she loses her condition and becomes mineral deficient. She's already showing major improvement and we will get an updated photo of her posted! We are so incredibly proud to see that Winky produced 10.4lbs on her first test! Way to go Winky! Splash is going to be one of the bucks appraised in our herd for August 2026, since he has a set of kids already expected to be born January 28, 2026. We are incredibly grateful to have these amazing genetics in our herd and cannot wait to see what they do for us in our breeding program.

We have very high hopes for this beautiful girl. We absolutely love our experimentals! There's just something about them that is so quirky, and the best part is they produce a lot of milk! I have a soft spot for LaManchas, and I always have one or two on the farm. They have wonderful personalities and are very smart.

Amy is a super sweet yearling who loves hugs and kisses. Her and I have a ritual where I sing to her and she just closes her eyes. She is a very special doe to me. Her dam is a super milker and I have very high hopes for Amy!

Amy is bred for 2026 kids!
