Pancho is the 1/2 brother of Lefty. He's 14 years old. Pancho and Lefty would do best in a field of their own where they can have regular attention from humans. They are extremely bonded and cannot be separated. Simply being on opposite sides of the fence is very distressful for them. They have a tight, brotherly bond.
Pancho loves to be pet and hand fed. He is not mouthy and is truly a gentle giant. He's more like a dog than a donkey. He loves attention and loves being with people. He loves being groomed and will happily take treats from your hand. He is an easy keeper. He comes to his name and loves to give and receive affection in the form of pets, rubs, and hugs.
Pancho and Lefty need more attention than we can give them and a space of their own. They love to run cattle and should not be kept with other livestock.
These guys used to stand well for the ferrier when we had more time to devote to socializing and working with them, but have backslidden into needing to be sedated for their hind hooves. With a little work, they could easily be standing well again. They will come up to date on all vaccines, dewormed, and freshly trimmed hooves. As with all donkeys, they must have access to quality grass/hay and shelter from the elements.
