Bella Luna is a beautiful wide and deep bodied doe. She is an easy keeper and is structurally correct. She is not as open in dairyness as we would like her to be, but we are going to upbreed that to her with our most dairy buck, Black Mesa Kool Kenai.
This doe has a lot of potential as she is a great grand daughter to Elite and Top Ten Breed Leader, Black Mesa Tally's Reese. She is also a descendant to Elite Sire Six M Galaxy Make a Big Splash.
Things we love about Bella Luna is her friendliness, her eagerness to jump on the milk stand, and how easy it is to keep her in good condition! She easily gets overweight with much less than our other does. She also adapted really well and quickly to us. This makes me believe she is a hardy doe, and those traits are very important to us! She has great feet and her rear legs are open and wide. Unfortunately for Bella Luna she dam raised on her first three freshenings and didn't get her udder worked and filled to its full capacity. I saw a major improvement when she kidded with us in 2025. On milk test days, Luna was consistent on both AM and PM tests. I think she has the potential to produce 9lbs if we milked her 3X's a day! I am very excited to see how her udder will look on her 5th freshening with us since we worked her udder. She has the genetics, she needed them to be expressed and brought forth.
Bella Luna has a lot to offer us in our breeding program, and we are happy to have her!
