Featured Alpaca

My name is Stellaluna. More affectionately, I am known as Stella. I am 15 years old. That is quite old in alpaca years. Since I am the oldest girl here at Brown’s Haven Family Farm, all the other girl alpacas look to me to be the leader of the herd and I quite gladly accept the challenge. I came to live at Brown’s Haven Family Farm in 2018. Mrs. Leigh Ann loves to use my fiber for her own personal clothing collection. She loves my beautiful light fawn color and she often comes out to tell me how beautiful I am. I love it when Mrs. Leigh Ann compliments me so I smile and strut around the pasture while she is doing such. Mr. Matt is a different story. He is the one that makes sure that I am sheared and vaccinated. Even though I know I need it, I don’t care for it very much so I am not so fond of him. I don’t like sharing food buckets with the other alpacas and I often like to spit at the others; but Mrs. Leigh Ann reminds me that I cannot do that. I just roll my eyes and comply. When it’s hot outside, I like playing in water and sometimes all the alpacas get to be sprayed by the water hose. I am usually the first one in line. I enjoy it so much! Life is pretty grand here at Brown’s Haven Family Farm. If you ever get the opportunity, come visit me and my fellow alpacas. We would love seeing you!
