Growing up is never easy

The babies are coming along and are mostly doing well in their halter training. They are very cute.

Remember, when you train your crias keep the lessons short - perhaps 10 minutes at a time. You'll be surprised at how quickly they will catch on.

Let the weaning begin!

Oh boy, there is a whole lotta unhappy here at the ranch. We began weaning the spring crop of crias Tuesday. The babies are walking around like lost souls, crying for their moms. The moms are pretty darned unhappy too. All should be back to normal in about a week.

This is a great time to begin halter training the crias. They are open to suggestion and looking for a friend. Their first two lessons have gone well. They are too sweet.
