Misty Ridge X-Man's SALINA

Camilio Line in Black

Misty Ridge X-Man's SALINA

HuacayaFemaleBay Black
AOA# DOB: 6/17/200614 yrs
This Peruvian Hemingway and Pperuvian Camilio granddaughter is a lovely black female with a great presence and very solid conformation. She carries a merino-style fleece throughout her blanket that exhibits a glowing brightness. Salina has a strong color background as well as elite genetics. Salina is bred to and exceptional dark silver grey male, Altair's Sterling, who won 1st Place & the Color Championship at the 2007 AWE show at 3 1/2 years of age. Sterling has the uniformity of crimp and high density in his fleece that is typically had to find in a solid dark silver grey fleece. We selected him for his over all power genetics. With Sterling's spectacular traits and Salina's impressive...
Altair's Sterling ASF

Altair's Sterling ASF

Dark Silver Grey
AOA# 849507
This exceptional grey stud is one we choose to further enhance the grey genetics on our ranch. Sterling has the uniformity of crimp and high density in his fleece that is typically hard to find in a solid dark silver grey fleece. Sterling is simply a magnificent macho! Another important element of Sterling is his sire CL9 Altair. We selected him for his over all power genetics. In January 2008, Dr. Norman Evans did skin and fiber evaluations on Altair and he found him to be very impressive and would expect him to pass on his noteworthy fleece traits to his progeny. Sterling like his sire has exceptional hand coming from his uniformity which is key in all fleeces to keep the handle at it finest. Sterling’s histogram at 2 years of age was 18.6 micron, 4.1 SD, 22.2 CV, and 98.5 CF. Sterling completed his show career at last years A.W.E. in Reno. He took 1st and Color Champion in a very large group of very competitive males. Judge Kristin Buhrman stated that any male at 3 ½ years of age that is still maintaining such a high quality of fineness and density is well deserving of the highest honor.
My Peruvian Adrastea

BOASTING 15 MICRON at 6 years old!

My Peruvian Adrastea

HuacayaFemaleBeige
AOA# DOB: 7/20/200218 yrs
Adrastea’s fleece (2008 AFD=15.8, SD=3.5, CV=22, %>30=0.6) won a special award for Best Brightness at MaPaca and she won a Blue Ribbon and Reserve Championship in halter at the 2003 OABA show. She has excellent conformation and a beautiful, soft fleece with lots of character. Her 2006 total fleece weight was an incredible 13.5# (and she was pregnant during most of that growth!).

Her grandsire is P. Emilio, a fabulous male with a dense, Accoyo-like crimpy fleece. Her dam is P. Accent, the daughter of Accoyo Peruvian Leon, the darkest Accoyo male in North America.

Although, she is technically beige, Adrastea has gray on her face. Her top knot presents as beige, how...
