In 2018 we purchased our 5 acres down the road from my parents farm this farm I have driven past and admired for years. Since I began hand spinning in 2011 I have wanted my own fiber animals so with the purchase of the farm I researched which fiber animals I would enjoy and decided on alpacas. We are starting slowly with three females which I am breeding to expand my herd and obtaining equipment for fiber processing so I can complete entire process in house to produce alpaca yarn.
