Here's the latest......

At Honey Maple Farms, we have spent the past year building a quality foundation herd and we are pleased with the results. A lot of research has gone into our purchase decisions and we have adapted our approach along the way. This strategy has allowed us to build a genetically diverse herd with mulitple strengths to build upon for the future. Our main focus is healthy, conformationally correct animals with good fiber statistics. We are ultimately committed to producing quality animals with high quality fleece.

We have a champion!

We are pleased to announce that our GVSA Ghost Ryder's Armor was awarded Color Champion for grey males at the Suri Network Fleece Show!
Thank you Grandview Suri Alpacas/Lisa and Jeff Haselhorst for sharing this boy with us!! We are so happy for you, as well!

We are pleased to announce that Alpaca Road's Park Avenue and GVSA Ghost Ryder's Armor both brought home blue ribbons from the PAOBA Fleece Showcase on Aug 7-8. Golden Rae's Masada placed 3rd (with an Advanced Fleece award) in a very competitive white class, and GVSA Mont Alejandro's Arthur earned a respectable 4th place in his class of whites. Even our little Nash Rambler of Honey Maple Farms got some great remarks about his luster from the judge! Entering a variety of fleece types in the shows this year has been a great learning experience for us as we work on developing our fiber!

Welcome! This is us....

The idea that has become Honey Maple Farms began in the year 2000 with a small maple sugaring operation. Over the next several years, we added rabbits and 2 Pygmy goats. In 2018, we became amateur beekeepers by the chance finding of a colony of honeybees in a building on our property. That same year we added 2 alpacas and 2 Pygora goats and decided to start working with fiber.

Then 2019 happened! After purchasing 5 more Suri alpacas, adopting 3 Huacaya alpacas and finding an adorable little Angora goat to add to our fiber production, Honey Maple Farms was finally established on July 1, 2019.

We are now looking forward to building our herd, fiber business and store, The Sassy Suri Fiber Arts Studio, in the coming years!
