His sire, Accoyo Peruvian Legacy is the 2002 All American Alpaca Futurity Herdsire of the Year, the 2005 Futurity Reserve Light Herdsire of the Year and Blue Ribbon Get of Sire in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. "The 1/2 interest in Legacy sold for $750,000 making Legacy's market driven price worth 1.5 million dollars and therefore the first Million Dollar Alpaca." Legacy is no longer available for outside breedings.
Legend's dam and granddame are from the White Out and Kenamori Gold lines and both won first place at MAPACA and the National respectively.
Legend stands bolt upright and is a convincing and potent breeder. His fiber is extremely soft and exhibits very bold, tight crimp with excellent coverage. Legend sheared a remarkable 15.7 pounds in 2006.
