    Hidden Hill Peruvian Caspia

Huacaya, Female, Proven | White, Dark Fawn, Light Brown

    Sire:
    Caligula's Casanova
    | AOA# 827924  | White  |
The Power of Caz! Very simply, I measure every male I consider for purchase against Caligula's Casanova. He is my idea of a male that approaches phenotypic perfection, pure and simple. Once people get a look at his crias, they know that this boy stamps out his offspring in his likeness so consistently. I have to admit that I occasionally experience an 'identity crisis' when I am surrounded by his cria.

I refer to my purchase of Casanova, consummated during the 2003 MAPACA Show, as the greatest impulse buy of my life. Just for the record, Casanova sired the 2009 Futurity White Huacaya Male Champion, our own Hidden Hill Peruvian Dually. Dually has five championships in all, and four Judge's Choice Awards. Dually's full brother, Pundit, has four championships thus far, and we expect he will add to that list for our good friends, the Perrys of Glacier Rock Alpacas, who now own him. Hidden Hill Peruvian Bonhommie just took the white male color championship at the 2010 Big E. Our female banner winning Caz daughters include Brillanta, Bonhommie's full sister, and Querida. Enough said! Considering that Casanova virtually has been used exclusively at my farm, this is an exceptional record.

Watch for Casanova's offspring this coming spring, because Mary's Alpaca has several show-stoppers that will be huge factors in the white classes. They also have a fawn female out of a Misty Maiden daughter, Akiko Rose, who should be awesome. Too, Warford Creek's little Heart of Gold, who is dark fawn and from the dam that produced the dark fawn multiple champion, Nexxus-Nautilus, is stunning, too -- Nexxus-Nautilus kids have been sweeping color championships and judge's choice awards at major shows.

If you have that very special female that 'has it all,' this is the male that can fine-tune her cria for you, no question about it. I consider Casanova to be a finishing male, based on my use of him.

    MFI Peruvian Peppermint's Patty

Huacaya, Female, Proven, White, Full Peruvian
    ARI# 1169577 | DOB: 7/17/2004
Peppermint Patty was selected based on the strength of both sire and dam. Her dam is a full Alianza import and among the top producers for her home farm. Her sire is Peruvian Blockbuster, an Accoyo/Alianza cross male. Patty has produced only daughters for us. Her daughter sired by Snowmass Millenium, has just sold. Her two Casanova daughters, Caspia and Our Miss Milk, are both stunning females. Caspia has produced a beautiful light fawn female, and was a great first-time mom. Our Miss Mi...

    Description

Caspia is a full Peruvian beauty, sired by our Caligula's Casanova out of MFI Peppermint's Patty. Her lineage is 100 percent composed of Accoyo and Alianza lineage. Her granddam, Ppperuvian Peppermint, was a prized import Alianza foundation female at Magical Farms. Grandsire is MFI Peruvian Blockbuster, a Bravado (Accoyo) son. Her sire, Caligula's Casanova, is that perfect cross of Accoyo and Alianza genetics.

Caspia is a well-grown out young lady with the characteristic Casanova headstyle, and coverage to the toes, also very much a hallmark of the Casanova line. She was born with two spots, one light brown and the other dark fawn, on both shoulders. Despite lots of assurances to the contrary, neither of Caspia's spots got to the requisite six inches in any direction necessary to show her as a multi, so she has never shown. We were at our age/color class limit on white females at that show, so we just took her home.

Caspia is a proven female, and has worked out to be a wonderful dam with plenty of milk for her very first cria, the lovely Vivace, sired by MSA Peruvian Very Victor. Now that we own Glenstone's Calder, a gorgeous appaloosa sired by HDF Prince Philip, we cannot help but see what Caspia will do with him! We selected Calder, knowing that a dear friend of mine with a real eye for what makes great appaloosas, produced him. We also know he carries his amazing sire's enviable fleece qualities -- with spots!

She sells bred to Glenstone's Calder.
