This lovely girl is loaded with fine fiber genetics. Her mom, a daughter of the famous Peruvian Victor and super fine stud from Peru via Canada, Peruvian K-2 of the Studmaster program, at 7yrs of age is still just 21micron. Her daughter here, Pucara Wapiti Arctic Snow has that fine heritage from three inputs from the famous import Legacy, who Al chose in Peru for the Snowmass farm, via her sire Snowmass Arctic Legacy.
Artic Snow is a replica of her sire with an athletic muscular structure, regal presence and alert picture book head. Her fleece is dense, fine (tests will reveal all), and it has brightness plus with a high amplitude crimp. She feels velvety soft.
Her 2010 test result was 18.8 micron with a cv of 21.2...she has not blown out either in 2011 with a sept micron test of 20.4m and a cv of 24.0%
We love the idea of adding Snowmass Star Quest to her already well enhanced pedigree. A lot of fineness will be coming from Studmaster male Peruvian K-2 that accounts for the mothers fineness as well as Accoyo Peruvian Legacy who always produced those fleeces of the future. That breeding will pull in the royal line fine fiber genetics of Augusto, Vengador and the supreme dams Isabella and Navidad.
