| Opus is a gorgeous herd sire. He has the best of two Peruvian lines, Accoyo line and Allianza coop line. He is a Hemi-Accoyo. His dam’s sire is Hemingway. He was bred at the Allianza Coop in Peru. The coop is known for its ability to produce the very finest fiber. The Accoyo farm was known for large boned, extreme density, impressive staple length, and outstanding coverage. We're very excited to add Autumn to our line of quality foundation females! She has excellent conformation with a proud elegance about her. Her fleece shows beautiful brightness with lovely crimp throughout her blanket. She was one of the cutest cria you'd ever want to see and she has kept a beautiful head with a nice short muzzle.
Her sire, Accoyo Mozart’s Opus One, is a Hemingway/Accoyo El Moustachio grandson. His fleece is wonderfully dense with a histogram of 16.2/3.6/22.2/0.6 at two years of age. We are all aware of the desirable quality that the Hemingway/Accoyo cross produces and should view that as a very positive component of her genetics.
In an effort to continue the already-positive forward motion of the fleece characteristics on Autumn, she has been bred to the MF full Accoyo herdsire, Accoyo America Enterprise, for a spring 2012 cria. In addition to being a champion herdsire, he has the distinction of being the highest scoring fawn huacaya in the 2010 AOBA National Spin-Off. His histogram for the last four years is listed below—a low AFD, low CV and low % greater than 30 make Accoyo Enterprise a very distinguished herdsire. Based on the high quality of the offspring he has produced, he is already showing indications of being pre-potent. So far, his offspring range in color from white to brown and are born with brilliant shine, tight corkscrew curls and remarkable density. And, every single one has been fortunate enough to bear his signature topknot and beard and often need the fiber around their eyes trimmed by the time they are weaned. We are extremely excited about adding this quality in both phenotype and genotype with Autumn's 2012 cria.
