My Peruvian Equador

Huacaya, Male, Proven, Light Fawn, Full Peruvian
ARI# 817854 | DOB: 2/21/2000
For those who need the scientific stats provided by skin biopsy to back up the claim of lingering fineness, here they are!

In June 2012, we had then 12-year-old My Peruvian Equador evaluated by Dr. Norm Evans, who states that "Equador's strong fiber traits are his fiber density, cluster regularity, S/P ratio, gland density, and fineness. He shows few fibers over 30 microns. This male is loaded with prepotent male genetic fiber traits that have been associated with champions. Consider breedin...

Rainier's Nala Cloud

Rincon Cloud daughter!

Rainier's Nala Cloud

Huacaya, Female, Proven, Medium Silver Grey, Full Chilean
ARI# 31094825 | DOB: 7/18/2009
Nala is one of two girls on our farm sired by the spectacular 2005 AOBA Grey Color Champion, Emerald Farm's Rincon Cloud, son of Crescent Moon's Rayo De Sol, who is himself the son of the gorgeous grey, Patagonia's Danko. Nala's dam, Grand River Cheila, has been a rock solid foundation dam for Rainier Alpacas, consistently producing show-ring and herdsire quality crias.

Nala is very easy to handle for herd health, but loves to strut her stuff in the pastures! This girl is unmistakably a Rinc...

Autumn Jewel was born in a splash of fall color and was an exceptionally nice cria for her first-time mom and our senior herdsire, My Peruvian Equador.

Pairing Nala Cloud, one of our lovely silver greys sired by the west coast's Rincon Cloud, with our very proven light fawn herdsire (check out Equador's skin biopsy numbers!), resulted in such a gorgeous grey cria that we repeated the breeding! One of our mentors, Tripp Forstner of Magical Farms, was kind enough to drop in for a visit during a road trip to the south, and thought Jewel was just stunning! He definitely wanted to see a repeat of this pairing too! See her brother's listing under Landmark Farm's Fellaman.

Jewel is a sweet girl, easy to handle, and was an extremely precocious cria ... eating supplement at 2 weeks of age and drinking water at one month!

Jewel's dam has an incredible presence and her daughter is almost a carbon copy of her! Jewel has wonderful density and coverage. With her sire's lingering fineness, we are expecting Jewel to be a wonderful production dam.

Jewel gave birth to her first cria May 2016. A beautiful BEIGE boy out of our Black Mesquite son, Landmark Farm's Puddle Jumper! See his listing under SOLD ALPACAS, "Cracker Jack Prize."

Jewel is one of six Equador offspring born at our farm. His fiber is still just barely over 23 microns at eighteen years of age!

UPDATE: Jewel delivered her second cria with no complications in Sept. 2017, the first offspring for Grandstander's Globetrotter, a lovely beige boy!

Second Place, 2015 Southern Select Spin Off. Received full 35 points out of 35 for Spinning Criteria, and maximum points for uniformity of length and micron. Judge Judy Maxwell commented "A joy to spin!"
