Hidden Pastures Farm & Fiber Shop is a family run farm with a focus on all things fiber.

We have a stunning herd of alpacas that include not just our pride and joy but the members of our boarding clients farms as well.

Our store focuses on fiber from raw to processed and all things to make that happen. Spinning, Weaving, Felting, Knitting & Crocheting supplies from Ashford, Schacht, Baines, Clover, Ashland Bay and more.

4H Alpaca Training

Home of the Awesome Alpaca Adventurers 4-H Club!

We love what we do, and want you to love it just as much. Alpacas--gentle, quiet and elegant. Raising them is an incredible experience, feeling the luxury of their fleece is another.

Our family is proud to be an active part of the alpaca community. We not only raise the awesome alpaca we share that experience with the community through our 4-H club, the Awesome Alpaca Adventurers. We meet with a dedicated group of children that learn a hands on approach to raising alpacas and working with alpaca fiber.

Hidden Pastures is a family owned and managed farm located in beautiful, scenic Sussex County, New Jersey. We were fortunate to discover the alpaca soon after buying our farm in 2004.

Our farm features a wonderful old bank barn that we have adapted to accommodate our herd. We have lovely open pastures, spectacular old trees and a scenic pond.

We have a solid foundation herd and make careful breeding decisions for genetically sound and superior fleeced offspring. It is our goal to be able to continue to provide an outstanding selection of incredible alpacas for you to choose from.

Alpacas are truly a family endeavor for us and we are proud to care for our own alpacas. From scooping the beans to tending to births we enjoy every minute of what we do. We love being members of the alpaca community and invite you to visit us and find out the joy of alpaca ownership.

If you are looking for a special place to board your special alpacas, look no further. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional care for your alpacas at an all inclusive price!



Our standard financing is 25% down, with payments monthly for 12 months at 0% or prime plus 1% for 24 months on purchases over $1000.

We pride ourselves on being flexible to the needs of our customers. We are willing to consider many options and will be happy to suggest financing or listen to your creative ideas.

Regardless of the financing arrangements, Hidden Pastures reserves the right to maintain possession of the alpaca until 50% of the contracted amount is paid. Hidden Pastures will board your alpaca for 90 days, without cost to the new owner. After 90 days, alpacas are boarded at a rate of $100 per month.

Buyer is responsible for any transportation costs for their alpaca purchase.

We are also happy to accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express for your alpaca purchases and payments.
