We are a small breeder in Oregon City, OR which is at the end of the Oregon Trail. We started our love of the alpaca industry with the purchase of our first two females in 2006 and we have never looked back.

Our breeding goals are to focus on fine, dense, luxurious black alpacas capable of producing commercial grade black fleece.

Black may be our focus although the ultimate goal is the luxurious fleece! For us to continue to improve the quality of our fleece we must continuously breed to the best males that can pass on color as well as improved fleece qualities such as density and fineness while retaining excellent conformation with a stylish phenotype. Although this is a slow process for a small breeder, the rewards are numerous as we see improvements through our breeding selections with each passing year.

As we go down this "trail" to reach our goal we will produce many colors other then black so, visit often. You might just find an excellent compliment to your breeding program.

Our girls are open and ready for breeding. While we wait for summer, it is a great opportunity to purchase a female and either obtain a breeding from one of Flying Dutchman's herdsires or use a stud of your choice.

Our herd is presently visiting Flying Dutchman Alpacas in Bend, OR.
