In February of 2010, Snowmass Matrix sold for a record $675,000 at auction. Matrix is, of course, the son of Snowmass Quechua and an outstanding daughter of 4P Legacy. So when our Quechua son Phoenix reached breeding age, it only made perfect sense to breed him to our Legacy daughter. Apollo is that result.
Apollo is the son of P. Wonder (dam to our Color Champion, LZJ Charlemagne) and our own Phoenix, half brother to Snowmass Matrix.
On his maternal side, Apollo is the grandson of Legacy (25%). On his paternal side, Apollo is the grandson of S. Quechua (25%) with both Accoyo Augusto (6.25%) and Accoyo Snowmaster (6.25%) in line two generations further back.

9/16ths Accoyo Diamond of ALPINERANCH has proven herself as an attentive and capable production mom. She is an excellent herd addition, an easy keeper and gets along with most everyone. Diamond's best fleece traits include her superior density and her tight CV's, characteristics she passes on to her impressive offspring.
Diamond's sire is our density guy Andy.
Diamond's paternal grandsire is none other than P. Presidio, son of the renowned Caligula. Presidio is known in Colorado to pack on the fleece density with uniformity across the blanket. Diamond's paternal granddam is Spring Moon, daughter of 4P Accoyo Pachacuti and Hemi-accoyo NWA Joy (a daughter of Hemingway and a 3P Accoyo import).
Diamond's 3rd fleece micron test was 23.1/3.8/16.5/2.9.
Being a fall birth herself, Diamond was not bred until the spring, going into her third year, when she was more than 2.5 years old. A lot of ranches would have bred her at 20 or 22 months but we waited a full 32 months so Diamond could fully mature before starting into production. After more than a dozen years in the Alpaca business and having have seen the results ourselves, we feel this greatly benefits the production mom long-term resulting in healthier, more robust and often more numerous offspring.
Diamond's 2015 daughter is shown here. She is the daughter of our one and only, first place winning Snowmass Quechua's Phoenix and a granddaughter of the great Snowmass Quechua. A proven mother, Diamond's 2015 daughter is her second quality offspring.
Diamond's third baby and second daughter was born on 8/30/2016, sired by our Rocky, the best son of our GWAS Color Champion Charlie. The photo of Diamond with her cria was taken 10/26/2016.
Along with with a 9/26/16 breeding to Apollo, our Quechua/Legacy cross and son of our premiere stud, Snowmass Quechua's Phoenix, Diamond's current daughter-at-side is included, completing this exciting 3-in-1 package. All yours for a very reasonable $1,500 cash sale. With a down payment of $300, we would also accept payments of $150 per month for 12 months.
Was $5,000, then $3,500 (6/16 to 11/16), then $2,000 (beginning 12/5/16), now ONLY $1,500!
