Full Accoyo daughter of the incomparable $600,000 Alpaca, PPPeruvian Royal Fawn 6014.
Description
Accoyo Iceman is the full Accoyo grandson of the one and only $600,000 Alpaca, 3P Royal Fawn 6014, the record holder for the most registered offspring in the ARI database with 456.
Iceman's sire is 6P Accoyo The Last Don IMPR98, a B-line stud originating from Accoyo's fineness line. Accoyo Iceman's 3rd fleece tested 18.7 microns. His 6th fleece was 21.8 microns. The photo at right was taken before shearing 2016, his 8th fleece. 3 inch staple length and plenty of enough crimp so you can produce 100% Alpaca yarn and not have to add any merino to it.
Iceman is not a big herdsire, he takes more after his father's line. Accoyo B-line huacayas were traditionally smaller in stature when compared to those bred for mass fleece production. He is not small though and is definitely stout and displays a good frame and strong bone structure.
Iceman lives in a pen with 11 other in-tact males. He is not the largest or the oldest, but he doesn't take any BS from anybody. Doesn't start much with the others either, he is a pretty easy going guy. His interests lie in other areas, if it's not food or a female, he doesn't much care about it.
Therefore, given the proper time and space to get used to everybody, I am sure Iceman could live in another pen with different males. If you are in need of a companion animal for Iceman, I can make that work as well, inexpensively.
In 2014 and 2015 I bred Iceman four times, each year. In 2015, he sired four quality females. In 2016, two females and one male. (The 4th was a no-show. She was bred in the summer and successfully spit-off twice in the fall, but unfortunately came up open the following spring. She was an older female though and her coming up open was not Iceman's fault in any way.)
Iceman is an aggressive breeder, but not overly so, he gets down to business within a few minutes. He successfully impregnated all 8 females during their first meetings. Breedings run between 20 and 25 minutes.
For 2019, Accoyo Iceman's breeding fee will be set at $1000* and half price to any 1st or 2nd place winning female in an AOA certified show.
