With 157 offspring on the ground, Western Ohio Triple Crown, Get of Sire winning Silverado is one of the most prolific grey herdsires in the country.
Silverado was hand selected out of the Sollocota Region in Peru by veterinarian and alpaca importer, Anthony Stachowski, DVM, who chose Silverado for his own herd.
Dam:
Peruvian Silvia
| AOA# 30420830 | dark silver grey
|
4th place winning Silvia is a conformationally correct, reproductively sound, FULL Peruvian, dark silver grey with a very respectable 21.6 micron histogram. She is a calm, easy to manage proven mother who's trained on the halter and travels well.
Silvia's sire, P. Silvio, was one of the most consistent producers of grey offspring in North America.
Description
Silverado's Black Pearl boasts heritage that includes two of the most prominent, widely used, full Peruvian silver grey herdsires in N. America.
We first discovered Get-of-Sire winning 5P Silverado back when we were building our own grey program. Being known for his fabulous density among greys, we ended up purchasing a very dense DSG Silverado daughter back in 2005 from Magical Farms. The folks at Magical knew what they were doing, they had bred her to their outstanding medium silver grey sire, CP Silvio. The result of that breeding was a 2nd place winning, 18.3 micron MSG female we sold for $18K in 2008.
Silverado's Black Pearl has these same genetics, just in the reverse order. Pearl is a Silverado daughter and a Silvio grand-daughter.
For Black Pearl's 2013 offspring, we selected our 2x 1st place winning premiere stud Phoenix who is the son of Snowmass Quechua, the 2002 Futurity White Color Champion as well as the 2006 and 2007 Futurity Light Herdsire of the Year. Pearl had a boy, in light fawn.
For Black Pearl's 2015 offspring, we selected "Rocky" who is the son of our dark fawn 4x first place winning and Color Champion, LZJ Charlemange. Rocky's 2011 fleece had the lowest standard deviation of any we've produced since getting started in 2004: 17.1 mic / 3.1 sd / 18.4 cv / 1.0 >30. Pearl had a boy, in dark brown.
For Black Pearl's 2017 breeding, we selected Millenium Falcon (his nickname is AL) whose 2008 fleece tested 16.3 mic / 4.0 sd / 24.5 cv / 1.1 >30. AL is 25% 4P Legacy 6016, 12.5% P Hemingway G171 and 12.5% P Bueno G173, making for an excellent mix of Accoyo and Allianza genetics that compliment each other perfectly. When bred to colored dams, AL has been passing the dam's color or pulling color from the dam's lineage to pass on to his quality offspring. Should make for an excellent match with Black Pearl.
Due to all of Black Pearl’s outstanding qualities, I’d like to get $2500 for her at this age. She’s strong and in good shape, so as her breeding manager I would conservatively count on three or four more births out of Pearl before she retires.
For October of 2017, I will offer Black Pearl for a $1,000 cash sale. With a down payment of $300, I would also accept payments of $125 each month for 6 months. Free delivery within 100 miles of Elizabeth, Colorado, $1.50 per loaded mile thereafter.
Alpacas at Alpine Ranch, Elizabeth, Colorado, home to 75+ huacaya Alpacas, established 2004. Specializing in foundation females, starter packages and stud services for sale. 27 miles southeast of Denver, 32 miles northeast of Colorado Springs, due east of Castle Rock off Hwy 86.

The $1,000 asking price for Silverado's Black Pearl is for a cash sale. With a down payment of $300 I would also accept payments of $125 each month for 6 months.
