From the '06 Snowmass Auction catalog: "Snowmass Red Hot Tawny Port is one of our finest true Vicuna type medium brown males. He is an example of a true type alpaca and has the fineness and density of a Vicuna which are significant traits that make up both his dam and sire. He has placed very well with a 2nd at the '03 Futurity and 1st at the '05 AOBA National fleece show beating both S. Andean Night and S. Royal Bronze who were in the same class."
Dam:
My Peruvian Liliputian
| AOA# 845479 | True Black

My Peruvian Liliputian has been with us since the very beginning in 2004 and has given us many outstanding offspring, all in dark colors, browns and greys. "Lilly" is an excellent mom, she takes good care of her cria.
Description
Halle Berry's sire, first place winning Snowmass Tawny Port has an outstanding dark brown fleece. His first year histogram was an unbelievable 14.0 microns with 0.0% fiber over 30 microns. 16.3 micron 2nd year and 18.5 micron 3rd year histograms. He has also done very well as he has aged, his 9th fleece came in at 20.4 microns. Not everyone can be perfect though and the trouble we had with Tawny came with the fleece colors of his offspring. When we selected pretty fawn or brown girls to mate with Tawny, often times he would throw white or beige - not exactly what we wanted. Over time we realized the best matches for Tawny Port were actually true black females because then (in all cases) he would throw beautiful brown offspring. Halle Berry is the best example of those efforts.
For Halle's 2017 breeding, we have selected "Rocky" who is the son of our dark fawn 4x first place winning and Color Champion, LZJ Charlemange. Rocky's 2011 fleece had the lowest standard deviation of any we've produced since getting started in 2004: 17.1 mic / 3.1 sd / 18.4 cv / 1.0 30+.
Due to all of Halle’s outstanding qualities, I’d like to get $2500 for her at this age. She’s strong and in good shape, so as her breeding manager I would conservatively count on two or three more births out of Halle before she retires.
For October of 2017, I will offer Halle Berry for a $1,000 cash sale. With a down payment of $300, I would also accept payments of $125 each month for 6 months. Free delivery within 100 miles of Elizabeth, Colorado, $1.50 per loaded mile thereafter.
Alpacas at Alpine Ranch, Elizabeth, Colorado, home to 75+ huacaya Alpacas, established 2004. Specializing in foundation females, starter packages and stud services for sale. 27 miles southeast of Denver, 32 miles northeast of Colorado Springs, due east of Castle Rock off Hwy 86.
