Description

Lizzy Lu came to us at barely 2 months old - emaciated and full of parasites. Her mother died several days earlier so she quickly bonded to me - mostly due to round the clock bottles (and many many medications). We thought for sure she was not going to make it but her determination matched mine and after a year of intense care, she grew to be a petite beautiful lady! She follows me every time I am around the barn and stands by me for daily scratching. She is reserved with strangers yet inquisitive - but if she trusts you, she's your farm friend and will kiss your cheek or head! She also loves the barn cats - and must think they are small alpacas! We believe she is sterile and she also tends to lay on her sides as opposed to cushing - the theory is that she had so much belly pain for months that she adopted this style of laying down. At 3 1/2 now, she has grown and matured into a wonderful alpaca. Her best personality trait is that she gets in between whichever girls are spitting at each other - she likes peacefulness and I love her calm gentle way. She is a little daily dose of joy in my life!

Lizzy Lu is now a member of our "Children's Club Alpacas" and is not for sale!
