      Aurora's Borealis, is a true black son of Pperuvian Angel, one of the most successful colored suris in the U.S. Both are well known for the amount of colored offspring that they sire. His fleece possesses an amazingly thick lock structure, a symbol of his density, and superb luster as an indication of his fineness. His coverage is phenomenal and his fiber took 1st Place at the AOBA National Show, the Estes Park Wool Market, and Fiberfest in 1998. He also won Judge's Choice for all suri fleeces at the AOBA National Show, an amazing feat for a black suri at that time in the industry. His beauty is more than skin deep and he has proven himself with his progeny. Over 83% are females, and only two of them are white. One of his true black sons won 2 Championships before the age of 2. Borealis has proven that he possesses superior genotype and as well as superior phenotype He is now deceased.

      Carnelian is a beautiful dark brown, Full Peruvian female. She is an import and an excellent producer. She has large bone structure, excellent fiber coverage on her legs and still has a beard that comes in each year, even at her age! Her son, Czar, remains on the farm as a herdsire. All other cria have easily sold at 6 months of age, even the boys! She has had many championships awarded to her cria- Mochachino - Champion fawn female, Goliath- Champion male fawn, Czar- blue ribbon winner! Carnelian is a wonderful production girl! She easily get pregnant every year and has produced cria each year. She has passed this fertility on to her offspring as well - they have all been easy breeders and have bred earlier than most. Her 2010 Torbio daughter is one of the best yet! She is fawn, Carnelian is an excellent producer of color when bred to white! This is giving her colored cria a distinct advantage in the show ring!

      Description

      Shillelagh is a top foundation dam for producing black and grey crias with heavy bone, outstanding coverage and fine fleece. She sheared a 3 lb, 7 oz fleece in 2015 at the age of 12. She has had 5 female crias in a row: 2 black, 2 grey, and one light fawn. She is a good mother, looking out for her daughters and even their crias.

      Her dam is 4P Carnelian from the 1995 Peruvian import, and she is brown in color, with excellent coverage. She has large bone structure, excellent fiber coverage on her legs and still has a beard that comes in each year, even at her age! Goliath by Torbio is the maternal 1/2 brother to Shillelagh, with beautiful lock regrowth and density.

      Aurora's Borealis, her sire, in a well-known true black herd sire by 2Peruvian Angel that resided on the West Coast. His coverage is phenomenal and his fiber took 1st Place at the AOBA National Show, the Estes Park Wool Market, and Fiberfest in 1998. He also won Judge's Choice for all suri fleeces at the AOBA National Show, an amazing feat for a black suri at that time in the industry. His beauty is more than skin deep and he has proven himself with his progeny. Over 83% are females, and only two of them are white.

      Shillelagh is not currently bred, but can be bred to a Wild Rose Suri Ranch or Rainbow Mountain Alpacas herd sire for a greatly reduced fee with her purchase. She is currently residing at the Wild Rose Suri Ranch in Havre de Grace, MD, and can be viewed there.
