GHA Comanita

Huacaya, Female, Unproven | True Black

AOA# 31844963   D.O.B. 5/25/2009

Sire:
PH Navigator's COMMANDER
| AOA# 1091861  | True Black  |
TRUE BLACK. And still NO WHITE ... ANYWHERE at the age of 9 + !!!

AND, HIS CRIA HAVE HIT THE GROUND RUNNING !!!

Commander has produced black, bay black, silver grey & rose grey and brown! His color production appears to be as successful as that of his renown sire, Navigator.

This gentle and stately (solid) true black male out of our multiple Color Champion gray herdsire, Navigator, is a real show stopper. Commander's grandparents, on both sides, have exceptional genetics AND lots of color. Commander's dam, PH Felix's Chocolat, has once again given us a blue ribbon winner. Commander's extremely soft, bright fleece exhibits very bold crimp similar to his dam and his half sister.

After much pre-show attention, we were very proud that Commander earned a Blue Ribbon, along with a Reserve Championship, in his first show ring appearance at the 2005 SEPA Alpaca Show. Following his debut, Commander then stood tall once again four weeks later and took a Blue Ribbon and a Color Championship at the Breeder's Choice Futurity. To quote the judge, "This young male, the youngest in the class, is conformationally correct and phenotypically perfect. I see here a fine, dense fleece, not common in dark animals, that displays wonderful brightness and abundant character." And, to finish off his first show season, at the 2005 Empire Alpaca Extravaganza, with 50 black males entered, Commander took his third Blue Ribbon in an extremely competitive class, followed by another well deserved Color Championship.

In 2006 and in 2007, Commander took five more blue ribbons and 2 more Championship banners.

COMMANDER'S COLOR CONSISTENCY, GENETICS & TALLY OF CHAMPIONSHIPS & BLUES make him ONE OF THE COUNTRY'S MOST NOTABLE BLACK SIRES.
