    Description

    Derby has great conformation. She is strongly built and stands proudly. Her fleece is very slick, exhibits great luster, and has very uniform staple length. Fleece coverage, density, and fineness are the things one would like to see be much better in one of her crias compared to her.

    On September 12th, Derby had a medium fawn female cria. It was a smaller cria at 14.6 lbs., but Derby is a very attentive mom with a lot of milk and after 3 days the cria weighed 16.8 lbs.! Time will tell, but all the early indications are that the little one will have much better fleece than her mom. Nebraska Alpaca Company's hersire Force One did a great job.

    We have bred her to Silver Heat for a Fall 2017 cria and are excited to see what that combination will bring us!

    Financing Terms

    We are willing to do financing. We may also be willing to offer a discount for a cash purchase. If the purchase of an alpaca is financed, no interest will be charged if paid off in 1 year. Stud fees must be paid for in advance. Transport of a purchased alpaca to the buyer's farm is the buyer's responsibility unless some other agreed upon arrangement is made. If a breeding to one of our males is purchased, the transport of the female to and from our farm is the buyer's responsibility.
