    Description

    Many breeders use a beige or light fawn male to breed to their grey dams in hopes of the neutral light color to allow the grey genetics to pop on through while adding fineness to the grey. Well I have just the guy for those breeders! Armstrong has grey parents that are incredibly fine as is he. This perfect;y conformed boy is a solid herdsire potential. Check out his sires ribbons and fleece stats. Dam Greysie, had an estimated 16 micron. His dam Revelation's Grey Expectations is a light silver grey and his sire is our medium rose grey Wrangler. Both parents are extremely fine and maintain that fineness as well as long staple length and nice crimp. The fawn is brought in by the maternal granddam.
    Armstrong is named after a boarder animal we had here years ago. No relation but they could be clones. Large bone, very square, mild temperament and lovely long staple. That staple has incredible shine, density and fineness resulting in some nice bundling.
    Armstrong has a nice calm personality with us humans and a very playful boy spirit with his fellow cria. He is the largest cria of the 5 we had this year but he is one of the youngest. This boy is sure to impart those 16-17 micron fleece and bring in some grey if bred to grey or I'm guessing black would tie in with those grey genes pretty well. This is not just a wonderful animal for fleece. He is stud material!
    His fleece style is changing this spring so he did not do well at his first show. I think his 2nd growth will be what draws more attention. The incredible staple will make excellent yarn in the meantime. He is for sale at a great price because we will continue to use his sire for a couple more years.
