When we first purchased a half share in the PureSuri Herd with the Armstrongs, the objective was to marry the best performed suri genetics in the country up until that time from the famous Latah Creek herd with the proven genetics of Pucara International. Ice King represents the very best that we could have hoped to achieve. In his first show as a juvie, Ice King won the Light Male Championship at 2014 IAO. He followed that up with a Reserve Championship at the 2014 Futurity.

Is it any wonder when you look at this young full Peruvian fella’s fleece – luster upon luster, that’s only achieved when you have extreme fineness and density. The locking is flat and accentuated with the look of the advanced fleece style we are progressing with at Pucara International. His first fleece test in march was 17.3m 4.5sd 26.1cv

These accentuated fleece traits are a reflection of his royal genetics. Look at his pedigree, there’s not a single ancestor that hasn’t proven themselves as a champion producer – both male and female.
It’s a roll call of suri superstardom – Amador, Kahuna, Bruxo, Gracie, Ice Dancer, Silkworm, Mandalay, Inca, Amore, amongst others and of course including his dam and sire LCA Accoyo Aspenglow, and Pucara PureSuri Tikanui. Aspenglow was a multiple time champion herself and Tikanui was 2013 White Futurity Champion (as a shorn two year old) and now stands at stud at Hasselbrings Harmony Ranch. He had a meritorious show career.
