With 157 offspring on the ground, Western Ohio Triple Crown, Get of Sire winning Silverado is one of the most prolific grey herdsires in the country. When bred to grey, only 1 time (of 28) has the result not been grey or black. Silverado is best known for producing award-winning, crimpy-fleeced offspring with outstanding density and a soft handle with little or no guard hair.
Silverado was hand selected out of the Sollocota Region in Peru by veterinarian and alpaca importer, Anthony Stachowski, DVM, who chose Silverado for his own herd. Silverado has resided in Mantua, Ohio since his importation in 1998.
