    Quality breeds quality, at least most of the time! A quick look at RRoyal Stars ARI certificate will illustrate just how painstakingly the Skinners, at Snowmass Alpacas, constructed their breeding decisions to arrive at this offspring.

    Roy has quietly ascended to the top of Renaissance Ridge Alpacas breeding program and undeniably will be a major contributor to ours. He is out of 2 outstanding Snowmass fawns. We believe that he is a "switch hitter" and expect that he will produce both great whites and more importantly color. Mom has produced champions repeatedly. Dad is one of the best Hemingway sons with an outstanding production record, including Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass XXXtreme (brown).

    He is incredibly dense, very fine, and his fleece "glows". It is extremely uniform with a baby soft hand. It breaks into long,silky, draping, opalescent locks belying his incredible fineness/density.

    2009 was a breakout season for Roy. He brought raves from every judge who saw him and acquitted himself well against some of the best in the country.

    S/P: 13.0:1
    Dp:Ds ratio 1.42

    " This is the 4th densest alpaca that we have tested in the US and the 5th in the world" (as of 6/30/09)

    (For comparison, El Nino was higher at 89.5 in follicle density, but had an S/P 12.5 compared to Roy's 13.0/1.)

    RRoyal has sired 7 cria for us this year. All of them with beautiful crimpy soft fleece. Their fleece carries on the beautiful glow as well.

    We do offer creative financing options. Please give us a call and let us help you finance your purchase! Is it our policy to not sell one lone alpaca unless he or she is going to an established farm with other alpacas. Alpacas are a herd animal and they like to be around other alpacas. Ask us about a package deal of three or more!
