    Grand River Elektra

Huacaya, Female, Proven | Bay Black

    AOA# 30874374   D.O.B. 6/11/2007, Full Chilean

    Sire:
    Grand River Amstel
    | AOA# 849320  | True Black  |
2009 EXTREME DARK HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR! If you like Dark Shaddow then your going to love Amstel. He looks just like his late Sire and is also a non-fading jet true black. Amstel's offspring have won several awards including several blue ribbons. So far Amstel has produced 100% true black out of true black dams, true black and bay black out white dams and silver gray out of a gray dam! He has also been bred to two multis and produced solid colored crias. Amstel is the first offspring born out of our multiple true black champion, Dark Shaddow and he is just as spectacular. Amstel still looks great for his age and is still maintaining his fine fleece characteristics. Amstel has extremely dense fleece with a very fine handle and tight crimp exhibiting multiple crimps per inch. He has extensive coverage from head to toes, large bones and a full topknot. An added bonus is the wonderful temperment he has. Amstel has been shown in several shows and has placed in the top of his class in all of them including winning three championships. At the 2005 AAA Futurity Amstel beat the previous years Futurity Champion including 3 of Snowmass Alpacas Nova's sons including Private Reserve who sold at Snowmass 2008 auction. Grand River Amstel is proudly co-owned with West Penn Alpacas. Call or email Grand River Alpaca Farm to reserve your breeding to Amstel. $1500 for drive by breeding or $2000 which includes 60 days board.

    Description

A rare full Chilean beauty with a sweet, easy going temperament. Elektra is one of the sweetest alpacas you will meet. She always greets visitors for extra neck rubs. Elektra is an easy breeder, birther and excellent mom.
Her sire, Grand River Amstel, won the 2009 Extreme Herdsire of the Year, a prestigious recognition as was accomplished by her grandsire, Dark Shaddow.

We are pleased to have the opportunity to add these genetics to our herd, crossing with CCNF Skyhawk, Snowmass Kahuna Sunrise and 5C's Captain Midnight.
