Venator is an exquisite pairing of many time Herdsire of the Year, Chakotah of CCR Suris and MMALP Pagemaster's Alvitah.
Alvitah herself was a double futurity Champion in her show career and we expected nothing less than amazing in her cria!
Venator is such wonderful combination of these genetics, his histogram shows it, an amazing 3.8 SD with a MFD of 19.1 puts this boy right at the top for fleece traits. As well as being a completely robust boy, he sheared a whopping 12 pounds of fleece at his first shearing.
Venator meets all the requirements here at Rogue Suri Alpacas to be Herdsire material. However we are moving our breeding program to focus on our dark suris, so here is a great opportunity to add quality genetics at a fraction of the cost!

“Rogue Suri Alpacas RGSA Venator” was biopsied as a 25 month old beige male with ARI#35075929. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters that are very uniform in placement within his connective tissue but not as uniform in size and shape. Note on his 15x scan the presences of several dead and scarred secondary follicles. He demonstrates level 1 of 4 gland structure around most follicles. Glands should be associated with luster and fiber quality. The glandular infrastructure is likely genetic and gland density is likely nutritional. Observe his 7 fiber clusters showing the S/P ratio at 7.8 to 1. Twenty five clusters showed an average S/P of 8.4 to 1. Note from all scans that only near 30% of his secondary fibers show medullation. The density study from 4 sections of 1 SQ MM of skin surface is 50.5 follicles per SQ MM of skin. This density was measured on a 10 MM cut with no shrinkage so no adjustment. This may give ideas as to how his breeding’s should be selected. One hundred secondary fibers averaged 20.2 microns while 50 primary fibers averaged 31.7 microns. This equates to a micron variation of 11.5 microns.
