This dam has a pedigree we are very fond of. Her father is MSA Hemingway's Tequila, a very underrated male owned by Eagle Valley Alpacas. His dam is Peruvian Ayabaca owned by none other than Amanda VandenBosch of the judging fame and has been a very good producer for her. Hemingway's Tequila really is a masterpiece of fineness and density and he passes it on to his cria. Now the mother of the dam Ms. Tina is a brown girl the result of breeding El Bello to a daughter of black and rose gray parentage. Jude and I bred El Bello way back when we owned Hemingway. He was bred to a female Ppperuvian Julia who we chose in Peru but sold to Mike Safley. She was our number one pick in that import year. Hard to follow? Its an explanation of how carefully designed line breeding produces stud quality animals revered more for their set in stone genetics rather than just phenotype. To produce her 2011 male cria in the pics we added the genetics of 4Peruvian Andean Gold, Snowmass andean Bronze and Snowmass Royal Bronze along with Bueno, Peruvian Drambuie and Snowmass Drambuie's Casanova and Nova. Wow, wow, wow! Is that all time color or what? Something for a buyer to consider when breeding her. Brandi is a solid true to type huacaya female with substance of bone, picture perfect head style and a perfectly conformed body. Her type and conformation is excellent. Pucara Promises Tequila her 2011 cria is a proud example of all these genetics and the beautiful fiber traits that they carry. His fleece was organized into little curly staples that Julie skinner refers to as "silkies". The fiber was bright, creamy soft, dense and appears to be very fine but he's young yet. It is truly a fiber for the future! And this is the potential Brandi offers a buyer. We have priced Brandi to reflect she is on in years and offer her as a free add on to anyone who buys two of our huacaya for sale.
