Crazy, wild colors on this appy!

      Phillips Harley Quinn (aka "Queenie")

Suri, Female, Proven | Medium Brown, Dark Silver Grey, True Black

      AOA# 32733143   D.O.B. 6/14/2011, 1/4 Peruvian, 1/2 Bolivian, 1/4 Chilean

      Sire:
      Black Debut's Fortunatus
      | AOA# 820417  | True Black  |
This herd sire was owned by Judith Korff of Lady Song Farm. He was born in 2000 and unfortunately is now deceased. No photos were available. His sire was Black Debut of Bolivia, a true black male with white markings who was imported in 1998 from Bolivia. His dam was Danza NT794 TBS, a white Bolivian out of imported dam, Danice (white ) and imported sire , Benedicto (white). Their lineage goes back to the first Bolivian suris imported in the USA.

      Dam:
      Philips Onyx
      | AOA# 30577350  | True Black  |
She is a lovely true black female with correct conformation on a compact frame. Her fiber is bright with nice coverage and lock structure. She is a solid true black in color, with true black and dark rose grey in her background.

Her sire is Gunsmoke, an appaloosa grey and son of 4Peruvian Condor, one of the few imported appaloosa males imported to the US in 1995, and Peruvian Quincina W753 (beige/white) imported in the 1st Peruvian import.

Her dam is WLK Marquis, a True Black daughter of QAI1 Sudden Impact (true black) her sire, and QAI2 Trapananda (true black)her dam, owned by Wilkins Livestock.

      Description

Queenie has the most unusual coloring and pattern for the suri appaloosa that we have seen to date. Her base color is black, with spots of medium brown and dark silver grey. It is truly eye-catching! She arrived on our farm in August of 2017 with not much history known about her. Unfortunately, we could not find photos of her sire and dam.

Her sire is Black Debut's Fortunatus, a true black, full Bolivian male out of Danza (white dam), and Black Debut of Bolivia (true black sire). Her dam, Philips Onyx, is true black with 1/2 Chilean and 1/2 Peruvian bloodlines. Onyx's bloodlines include 4Peruvian Condor, a dark rose grey appaloosa, and Sudden Impact, a true black imported Bolivian herd sire.

Queenie was still a maiden when we acquired her, and we bred her to WRSR Justice by Apocalypse, a 1/2 Accoyo medium fawn male out of a dark brown dam, Peruvian Dejavue. Justice has wonderful density and fineness with high shear weights, and we bred her to him to accentuate the appaloosa color and markings. Well, WRSR Teddy Bear by Justice was born with his sire's coloring. He is a beautiful honey gold color, but no spots this time. He has a very fine fleece, is inquisitive and playful, too. Queenie is currently open and we do not plan on rebreeding her because of her personality change when pregnant (she doesn't like being pregnant). We love her non-pregnant personality and that makes her a special alpaca on the farm for visitors and us!

Queenie is a favorite PR alpaca when she is not pregnant. She is loving and craves attention and is a hit on Open Farm Days with the kids and adults, both.
