I really hate to see this guy leave. Almirante has been the foundation of my breeding program for nearly 10 years. He has never failed to greatly improve on a female and when bred to a high end girl the results have always been spectacular. He just did it again, with a cria born 2 nights ago to a banner winning MRG girl, the result is a cria with one of the densest fleeces I've seen on a cria with tight bundles and crimp forming on day one. As always, Almirante also stamped his perfect phenotype on this sure to be show stopper. Unfortunately my partner is leaving the business so we have to move on. We paid a lot of money for him years ago but he was more than worth it. Now someone can take advantage of this situation getting Almirante for a fraction of his worth. At this age he is still in the prime of his breeding career.
Almirante brings extreme density and fineness to a breeding. His first histogram measured his MFD at 16.3microns. His skin biopsy set his density at 74.4 follicles SQmm. His fleece bundles with a very high frequency crimp. This explains Almirante's early show success of 4 first place blue ribbons and a reserve color champion as a juvenile.
Almirante's sire, Patagonia's Lennox has produced more champion progeny then any other Patagonia herdsire. Lennox's density is 83.25 follicles SQmm. Lennox is the 8 time color champion son of Danko, a famous medium rose grey.
Almirante's dam, Ambrosia is a true black 5-time color champion. Her sire Nishio, was awarded the 2007 all-american Reserve Champion Herdsire of the year with a density of 60 follicles SQmm.
Almirante's latest son Tormund has an AFD 17.0 SD 3.8 microns silky soft fleece. He consistently adds his fleece character to all of his offspring. His son Roxstar came in at AFD 16.7 SD 3.5 microns of long soft staple.
Density, fineness and an elite pedigree make Almirante a fantastic breeding choice.

Description

Coveted Dark Rose Grey Female. OXANNA first show of 2019 in Harrisburg PA won First Place and Reserve Color Championship.

Oxanna is a special young female who has a lot to offer. She is property socialized and easy to handle.

She has some beautiful colors in her fleece as well as her background. Her excellent conformation is shown in the photo taken right after shearing.

Although Oxanna is not proven, her dame, Rosita, is an excellent mother. She has always provided plenty of milk and attention to all 6 of her crias. We plan to breed her this spring. Oxanna is to have Patagonia's Lennox West Coast genetics. Her new pricing comes with one additional breeding to any of our co-owned males.
