    AOA# 35292241   D.O.B. 9/10/2017 (8 yrs)

    Sire:
    PVA King of Diamonds
    | AOA# 31722285  | Beige  |
King of Diamonds came for sale at a time when I was seeking to add the genetics of legendary import sire 6P Accoyo Elite to my herd. Why? Well, if you want lasting fineness (and we do), and uniformity (and we do), Elite is well recognized as one of the greatest import sires for reliably imparting these traits to his offspring – and they to their offspring, and on down the line. He is the sire of legends, males like Crescent Moon's Shiftin' Gears, Snowmass Quechua -- and The Elite Maximus.

For the son of a male known for imparting genetic fineness, Elite Maximus has managed to establish himself as one of the preeminent torch-bearers of his sire's legacy. His name has become synonymous with lasting fineness. This is not surprising, given that he is the product of a cross that so consistently produced perfection, it well qualifies as a “nic” within the alpaca industry: that of Accoyo Elite over a Hemingway daughter. DDF Bobbie Ann was not merely another Hemingway daughter, however. She was a dam who consistently produced excellence, offspring that not only championed in the show ring but that yielded lasting fine fleeces – two traits that are not always compatible. Maximus's full brothers, Rico Suave and Elite's Crescendo, as well as half-brothers Rainman and Rafael – each by different sires – all bear this out. Elite Maximus's incredible prepotency for fineness has been proven many times over, but it was a given when one studies his pedigree.

Just as his sire is not merely any son of Accoyo Elite and a Hemingway daughter, King, in turn, is not merely any son of Elite Maximus. Like his sire, King belongs to a cohort of excellence, a family of champions. Every one of his six full siblings has won a minimum of multiple blue ribbons at halter – most have won championships – along with possessing the incredible fleece fineness that their line is known for. His brother Excello is perhaps the best known, as he has begun to make a name for himself as a sire of champions in his own right, with offspring the likes of Excello's Rocky Bay to his credit.

Thus, King's lineage is not merely a few doors down from excellence; it is steeped in it, and when we come to King himself, he does not disappoint. King is the winner of two championships as well a coveted “Best Handle.” We will never know his juvenile fleece stats, but his beautiful 5th fleece tested with an AFD of 20.7 and SD of 4.0 with a 98% comfort factor, so he appears to be holding fineness nicely. Physically, King is a square, compact, correct male with good bone and an appealing head. He is athletic and has a good libido.

King's first cria has arrived, and ... WOW. I had high hopes given his lineage, but this one has exceeded them. Stocky, well-built, full-covered baby with silky, shiny, blinding bright fleece that is fine, fine, fine. And his third is here, and she is (OMG!!) an elite harlequin appaloosa. YES!!

    Red Brick Gables Maxine

Huacaya, Female, Proven, Dark Silver Grey
    ARI# 31380836 | DOB: 9/22/2008
    Look at that FACE!
Max is a large-framed, stately female in the most exquisite shade of ultra-dark silver grey. It is very hard to find this gorgeous color in a tuxedo, and when they do pop up, they are usually spotted. In a great show of irony, it is the extra-dark harlequins -- like Maxine -- who offer the most uniform example of this awesome color.

Maxine is a rare fourth-generation harlequin appaloosa. Her dam, Elke, is a true appaloosa whose sire, 6Peruvian Century, was a rose grey har...

    Description

    PIXIE CHEETAH!
This girl is such a doll.
Calm, Content, Cute as a button
And her coloring is absolutely lovely.
Hardy crimp, soft hand and a long staple. This is a noteworthy female.
Gorgeous to look at with a perfect little nose and attractive head.
Pixie cheetah is out of my female, Red Brick Gables Maxine, a Mile High The Reverend Mr Black daughter. Max's Mom is an appaloosa female; Coffe Pot Elke.
Cheetah takes after her mom in stature. She is a big girl. But not tall and lanky. stout and solid. Just the way we like them.
Her Dad is a multi champion fawn; PVA King of Diamonds owned by Kitt Hollister at Howling Hill Farm. King won ribbons for brightness and Cheetah has that quality in spades.
This is a really really difficult girl to part with but I am retaining Max - Max is two for two for delivering harlequinn when bred to solid fawn - that propensity could be shared by her daughter.
Pixie Cheetah is being bred to Camoflage BHAR of Big Hat Ranch (thank you Cass!) for a Spring 2019 cria. Camo is a WORLD CHAMP multi male (rose grey harlequin) with a 19/20 score for fineness and hand for his fleece. He is an elite animal and we think Camo and Cheetah will make stunning world class offspring!
High end Harlequin female with a higher propensity to deliver harlequin x Harlequin male with world class character = AMAZING
And my girl Pixie Cheetah had herself a harlequin male we named Tiger Sprite (get it?) who had a 7.5' staple on his first 10 month shearing. See him under Herdsires. This guy has developed into the most impressive guy and we are excited to out cross some already established harley/appy genetics along with a few noteworthy solids in 2024. He has a presence that is unforgettable.
Pixie was bred to Springtoo Skyfall and we were hoping for an elite fleeced harley offspring but instead got an incredibly bright elite fleeced light fawn with outstanding coverage we are naming The Herold (like Hark the herold angels sing.... a royal messenger)(Harry for short) - he is incredible. I think he is a fawn but he could become a harley (there is a halo of something there but alas); regardless he is beautiful.
    So go Cheetah!!!!
I had sold Cheetah bred to Man of Mystery to my dear friends up at Mule Train but then I had such giant regrets about it, they agreed to walk down the path of a co-owned female. So I can still have my girl here and watch her produce more beautiful babies for each of us!!! Wish us luck. Co-owning a female can be a sticky wicket but I think we can do it! This upcoming baby will belong to Mule Train and I am SUPER EXCITED for them. :)
Pixie Cheetah delivered a Man of Mystery female in 2023 and to say her well developed locked fleece is gorgeous is again... an understatement. Mule Train Named her Tessa and she holds court with a number of other Man of Mystery kids that have incredible fleece traits.
Pixie will likely be bred back to Man of Mystery in early 2024 so we can have a female too. :)
