    CUERVO AT 17 YEARS OLD still has 26 AFD micron fiber. We are sooo pleased with this boy and his lasting fineness. He is the protector guy on the farm and let's us know if there is a problem or stranger on the property.

    Cuervo is a unique animal with very distinctive facial marking. He has some great ancestry in PPPeruvian Augusto, 4Peruvian Starr Khan. Cuervo is always very correct in stance with tail up, head and ears up with an 'I'm IT" attitude. With his low micron at his age, he will bring lasting fineness to your females. We still get about 7-8 lbs of fiber at shearing from Cuervo. We have so many offspring from him on our farm and at others. You won't go wrong adding him to your program.

    Just a note about Cuervo's grandsire:
    PPPeruvian Augusto was the year 2000 highest selling Huacaya Male at $226,000. At his 3rd shearing Augusto had an incredible 18 pounds of fiber. Cuervo's fiber, at the age of 16 years, weighed almost 7 pounds and was at 26.7 microns Cuervo has been a great asset to our breeding program.


    Cuervo crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday 4/26/2025. I saw him about 1:30, cushed, chewing his cud. Glenn went out a little later and he was gone. When shorn last week, he produced 7.2 lbs of fiber. We will miss Mr. Attitude immensely!

    ROSE PISTOL is a purchase last Thanksgiving from Liberty Alpacas in WA. She was bred to The Black Medallion when we got her. In June, Rose gave birth to a premature little girl we named Sawdust's Melanie. Both Rose and cria got off to a rough start but with a little help from the vet, both are doing great.

    We gave Pistol a little break, but now have her bred to our KOHANA. This pairing has us excited for next year in August 2017.

    SAWDUST'S ZENKERI was born on May 21, 2019, and has a medium fawn coat. Zenkeri's sire is Immanuel Cuervo Plateado, who is a descendant of Augusto. His dam is Squire Creek's Rose Pistol, a light rose gray. Zenkeri takes after his mother and is a lively and friendly fellow. He has a very consistent, crimpy coat similar to his father's, and he is a joy to have on the ranch.

    Zenkeri is growing into a stunning male, and we hope he will inherit his father's lasting fiber fineness in his coat. Cuervo, Zenkeri's sire, is currently 16 years old and still has a fiber density of 24.8 microns.

    Financing Terms

    We will offer financing if you need that option. However, we reserve the right to keep the animals (at your expense) until your contract is paid in full. You will be charged a per diem fee (negotiable) while your animals are still on our ranch. You will need to carry your own insurance on the animals you purchase. 35% down, interest at prime rate plus 1%, payments will depend on length of time financed.
