When we purchased Sugar’s dam Pucara Malarrimo, Jude & Al at Pucara had already chosen the breeding to Snowmass Ice Dancer (2004 undefeated champion) By the time we brought Malarrimo and Sugar home, we were still new at this whole alpaca thing, so we did not show her, but when the time came to breed her, we wisely chose the one and only Kahuna and it was truly a wonderful choice!

Description

"Pookie" as we affectionately call her, is a Chakotah daughter who's dam Sugar Shack, is an Ice Dancer daughter. The first breeding produced a white daughter and we were thrilled, so much so that we repeated the breeding! So you can imagine our surprise when this adorable multi/appaloosa girl pops out! When we have visitors to the ranch, she's usually the everyone's favorite! They love her colors and pattern, which to us looks like an Appaloosa!
Pookie was shown at the CABA Classic and the judge commented at how she was surprised to see how much luster Pookie had and the density she was carrying was very impressive.
This girl still has lovely luster and her locking is outrageous, a lock spinner's dream!
We have not bred her because quite honestly, we aren't sure what direction to take her in, but if she doesn't sell soon, we will be breeding her to one of our herd sires as we're pretty sure that because of her pedigree, that cria will be an exciting addition to the herd!
We are offering her at a low price as we really need to get our numbers down in the barn.

Adjusted density 38.75 follicles SQMM. Average S/P ratio of 10.1 to 1. Level 1 of 4 glands.
100 secondary fibers averaged 23.9 microns and 50 primary fibers average 33.4 microns for a variation of 9.5 microns. The above stats figure an AFD of 24.83 microns.
