As a juvie in 2014, Joy took 1st at Alpacapalooza and 2nd at Futurity.
As a yearling she took first place at Futurity and Light Female Color Champion at CABA!

Joy's sire is the immortal Chakotah himself!
Her dam, Ice's Sugar Shack, was never shown, but has proven herself to be one of the top stud females at Buzznhum ranch.

The Chelsea Farms Alpacas website posts this about Sugar Shack's sire:

He is without a doubt the best pheno-typical suri we have seen. His locks are exquisite and his luster is magnetic. His histogram at 2 years was an incredible 19.1, 4.7, 24.6, 2.4. His dam is a one of our top foundation females out of Accoyo Ganador. Her 2004 cria had the lowest micron of all of our 2004 crias and is a beautiful medium brown. His sire, Ivory Gold, is an award winning Accoyo Uribe son. This impact male truly has it all: phenotype, show record and pedigree. It is with great hesitation that we are selling this truly special genetic package. He started settling females for us at just over 2 years of age. Ice Dancer is a signature herdsire that will make an impact not only in his owners herd but his influence will impact the overall improvement in the U.S. suri herd."
