    Spirit came in from the 2006 reserve Herdsire of the year Dark Shaddow and Jackie who has a whose who in her pedigree as well. This combination produced a brawny true black male who along with idedic fleece generated what we thought was a true impact male simply awaiting the opportunity to be proven. What we predicted from Spirit would be well conformed, solid black, with low micron, high uniformity over 90% of the fleece and the ability to maintain these traits well into their later years.

    Hanwachipi born 6-26-2015 substantiated our prediction to the tea from the pairing with Laurel Ridge's Momilani.

    Lingering fineness with uniformity are difficult to come by and in Spirit you have both. Good characteristics to bring to your herd.

    Nearly 10 years of age and still holding sub 25 micron.

    Cindy Negen of Monaco Pines Alpaca Ranch stated, "Momilani is a very solid dark female with excellent bone structure, compact head, silky fleece, and long staple length. Her Dam line has both black and silver with a little full peruvian thrown in. Her sire line is a full brother to Snowmass Nova. Her Dam, LRA Kiara, line has both black and silver with a little full peruvian thrown in."

    We could not agree more! We looked for Nova genetics that we could bring into this line and were happy it has been with Momilani.

    What Cindy did not say enough about was Momilani's outstanding conformation. She is well proportioned from legs, body, and neck and head with exceptional solid teeth set, straight tail, well formed ears, and an impeccable straight back line. She has a rock solid gait with outstanding leg set. Over this frame she has developed a very dense, uniform, and solid colored bay black fleece with consistent handle. She has the most pleasant dispostion quiet yet full of energy.

    Hanwachipi (Night Dancer) is our gorgeous true black female who has an awesome mellow presence, conformation and large, intelligent eyes that give her a calmness that she has been imparting on the farm to those around her

    Han has a slow outlook on life, except when there's food around and then she moves a bit faster than normal. She is mellow....very mellow, and usually the last up to the pen, with a slow lope and curious ears. She is a rarity, in that she can be haltered, trailered, go thru herd health, be in the pasture or anywhere and she always commands the eye to be drawn to her. She knows how to pose

    She's a rarity...not a speck of brown on her, even on her undersides or her tail, and is pure black in the sunlight, and so far she's produced two black cria when bred to black. Her calm disposition she passed on the Toothless, her first cria, and her second is already learning to be patient and doze in the sun

    Hanwachipi delivered a gorgeous true black female cria on Sept 18, 2021 with a stunning face and bright eyes. Han has done it again
