Description

A special girl. Amazing fleece- soft and great staple length even as a producing dam. Great personality too.

Mystique was bred to Encore and produced a show boy, Mystic Mage, born during the 2023 Kentucky Derby and named after the derby winner. He is a perfectly balanced alpaca with an abundance of super soft, bright and crimpy fleece!

Mystique was bred to Crescent Moon Wilkinson for a May 2024 cria. Mystique has fawn gray markings and is out of a gray dam, so we paired her with Wilkinson to help pull out her gray genetics and also improve on her already nice fleece. Mystique produced Mystic Ann (named for derby winner Mystic Dan). 2nd derby weekend cria in a row. Mystic Ann is a blue black female with a few white spots. She didn't quite get the gray we were trying for. But she did produce one of the last Wilkinson females.

Mystique was bred to our latest champion male, Jennifer’s Rocket. Rocket is a fawn male. Together they produced Double 8 Autumn., a bay black female with a white crown signifying those grey genetics! And, just like her momma, she has style, balance, and an abundance of bright super soft and crimpy fleece!

This Spring Mystique will be bred to our Molton Rock, out of Molten Steel, a beautiful classic rose grey!! Stay tuned....

We are hard pressed to let this girlie go as she is such a wonderful dam, with an abundance of milk and attentiveness to her offspring. She has stamped out 3 beautiful cria for us here at Double 8. We can be convinced to let her go to another good home to produce for them.
