    Fleece Galore!

    Sweet Pines Odyssey

Huacaya, Bred (Female), Unproven | Beige

    AOA# 35237860   D.O.B. 7/6/2018, 1/8 Peruvian

    Sire:
    Colter
    | AOA# 32082166  | Beige

    Dam:
    Sweet Pines' Gelata
    | AOA# 32471915  | White  |
Gelata is a really beautiful girl with a lovely head and phenomenal fleece. Her first fleece was 7 inches long with bold crimp and a buttery feel. The handspinners are loving it!

Gelata's sire, Diomedes' Dirk of Stirling Ridge, is spectacular, holding his fineness into adulthood under 18 microns. This is in large part due to his sire, Accoyo America Diomedes, a stud now standing in Canada and out of the esteemed Accoyo America breeding program.

On Gelata's dam's side, the Peruvian genetics are outstanding (PPeruvian Felix, PPeruvian El Moustachio). Her grandsire, El Campeon, has won top awards for his fleece. One judge said he stood out well above the others in his class and that was his adult fleece!

We bred Gelata to AHarmony's Espiritu de Tequila (ET), with the 2016 outcome of a beautiful beige daughter. She then bred to an up and coming junior herdsire, Colter, resulting in another beautiful and very sweet beige daughter.

    Description

Odyssey is a sweet girl with great conformation and beautiful crimp.
.Her 2019 fleece weighed in at 4.5 lbs, with a staple length of 5"

Odyssey's dam, Gelata, is a really beautiful girl with a lovely head and phenomenal fleece. Her first fleece was 7 inches long with bold crimp and a buttery feel. The handspinners love it!

Odyssey looks just like her sire, Colter, a handsome, extremely fine, well put together herdsire. He comes from a long line of extreme fineness and has thrown this as well as other desirable fleece characteristics to Odyssey.

Odyssey is currently bred to Sweet Pines Mustang, with a due date of late June 2021.
