Description
Emelise's Manuka Honey is the next in a line of winning cria out of our Honeybuns. If you ever wonder how much the maternal genetics influence the outcome of a breeding, Honeybuns is a powerful producer we have depended on for years. Of course, we didn't take any chances with those paternal genetics either when we decided to breed Honey to our champion rose grey herdsire, Crescent Moon's Rayo's Spittin' Image. This cross has been proven in the past and continues to impress. Moon's full sister, Emelise's Tupelo Honey, is a foundation female for the impressive breeding program at Delphi Alpacas. We have done this cross three times and have produced virtual clones.
Manuka is extremely sweet and will often be nice enough to give you a kiss if asked. She has a well built square frame and a perfect bite. But her fleece is where she really shines. It is very uniform in fineness, color and crimp style with a lovely buttery handle. She is currently bred to CCNF Cameron, our true black Futurity champion who produces almost exclusively grey and black offspring.
Manuka sells individually or in a package with the sister, Moon. We are hoping they can stay together and give you twice the luscious rose grey fiber!
