Sired by Dark Arrow of Harmony who has tons of dense and lustrous black fiber. He was a 2xChampion and has champion offspring. Dam is Silver Marquis’ Plantinum who has Bruno, Uribe and a lot of grey in her heritage. Plantinum also has several champion offspring.

As a juvenile in 2016, Chica won Reserve Champion at MOPACA and GWAS. In 2017 as a yearling, she won Color Champion at MOPACA and Reserve Champion at Futurity which was the end of her show career. According to the judges, Chica has a very soft hand, she's a beautiful example of a black suri, excellent luster all the way across the body and nice density. One judge commented that he could look at her all day, just beautiful! She was definitely Rock'n the show ring.

Chica was bred too MMALP Goldstar’s Vader and gave birth to a beautiful black female, Chiquita, in 2018 who already won a reserve champion as a juvenile. Bred to MMALP Goldstar’s Vader again, Chica had an AWESOME black female June 4, 2019. She is already showing the lock structure, density, fineness and luster you would expect from the Chica/Vader combination. Vader has produce many champion offspring. He was 2019 Futurity Reserve Herdsire of the Year, Dark Colored Offspring and he won Get of Sire at 2019 Nationals. Vader’s biopsy was off the charts.

Description

Vader's Chiquita of RDE is our True Black daughter of Goldstar's Vader & Arrow's Little Chica. Chiquita was added to LHSA because she exhibits all the traits one should look for in a future foundation dam. She comes from a long line of champions including: Goldstar's Vader, Goldstar, Torbio, McGyver, and Coal Man. With her genetics, LHSA believes she will have a bright future.

Chiquita's histogram reveals a Mean Fiber Diameter of 25.1 microns and Fibers Greater Than 30 microns: 16.2. She is in the top 10% EPDs. Skin biopsy results by request.

Chiquita has proven herself in the show arena!

*A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 1 ultrasound performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.

We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
