Joliette placed 2nd grey juvenile female huacaya 2009 MABA Alpaca Celebration.

She is sired by AABC Navigator, a third generation grey and grandson of Macusani. Navigator 's wins include: Champion and 1st place 2003 MAPACA Jubilee 1st place and Reserve Champion Grey Huacaya Yearling , 2003 AAFuturity 2nd place 2003 AOBA National Show Reserve Champion, 2002 MAPACA Jubilee Reserve Champion Huacaya, 2002 AOBA National Show 1st place Huacaya 2002 AOBA National Show 1st place at the 2002 Coastal Classic, 2nd for Huacaya Juvenile Grey Male Class at the 2002 AA Futurity Champion and 1st place Grey Huacaya Male 2002 Empire Alpaca Extravaganza.

Joliette has been an outstanding breeder, producing a fawn female in 2012, Ameripaca's Junebug, sired by Poseidon, and a 2014 female cria sired by Terrapin, Cribleman's Jewel. Jewel has a beautiful, fine, dense brown fleece with fine white fibers throughout. I'm please that Jewel is now with Alpacas at Cherry Run. She recently produced a lovely dark brown male cria, AACR Whiskey.

Joliette is now twelve years old and her fiber results from April 2019 measured at 25.3 micron with a SD of 5.3 microns.

Joliette produced a lovely dark fawn male cria sired by Our Peruvian Munay of Celestine Ridge Alpacas NC, now owned by alpacas at Cherry Run. He'll be known as Cribleman's Journey. Journey's thick fine fleece is indicative of outstanding genetics and he is for sale.

Description

Jewel's breeder knew when she saw this baby standing behind her mother for the first time that she was a very special cria. When we saw her for the first time, we knew she would make a great addition to our foundation herd. She's curious and friendly, but sometimes, shy. Although she's registered as a dark fawn, she has slowing turned a rose grey--a beautiful and unusual color. Jewel's attitude is sweet and playful and she gets along with everyone. These are great traits that she passed on to her first cria.

For the hand spinners, she has a very fine fiber, measuring 18 microns with a standard deviation of only 3.7 microns. It's so very soft and makes beautiful yarn. Although we would hate to part with her, she would add quality to your herd.

Financing Terms
