Description

Starchaser is a young male with a long staple (5.5 inches), fineness and a great handle. Chase is super dense with a 2024 fleece weight of 10.2 lbs! Chase's EPDs are remarkable for top 5% for MSL and FW and ranks highly around 15% for the remaining categories. He is very solid with excellent bone and an appealing conformation! Chase has the prototypical triangular head and boxy frame. His demeanor is very calm. He is a proven junior herdsire having settled and produced his first offspring in 2024.
In The American Alpaca Journal Issue 2: January 2020 published by Little Creek Farm/Accoyo America and Snowmass Alpacas, Lynn Edens writes the article titled Breeding to Win: An Analysis of the Genetics of Blue Ribbon Show Animals. Specifically analyzing alpacas in the white male classes Lynn says:
“Snowmass Elite Legend was by far the most important living sire represented in the collective pedigrees of the winning white male group: 18 of the 60 winning white males were produced by Elite Legend or descendants of his, and they were produced by 14 different breeding programs. He meets every test of prepotency for the production of show stock.”

The owner of Snowmass Elite Legend announced that he is no longer settling females. Snowmass Elite Legend genetics can only be obtained from his offspring. We are fortunate to have these elite genetics in Starchaser. His Dam side genetics are also very impressive tool His Dam Estrella is a multi-champion and has been one of our foundation females.
