We're over the moon... Pearly King is the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show Reserve Color Champion Grey Male!!

His first histogram is also just in... lovely!

Ian Watt reports, "Pearly King has the softest handle I can remember in an alpaca for a very long time, really something!!" :-)

This guy is holding his fineness, consistency and staple length beautifully! In fact, his numbers have decreased a bit from his 1st histogram.

We think he's something special, but don't take our word. Here's what the judge at CABA halter show had to say:

"His fleece is very consistent, has a high degree of definition, uniformity, wonderfully fine and dense."

Blessed with outstanding genetics, this young male is a grey breeder's delightful find.

HIs sire is an outstanding son of Annual's Bea-2 Bomber and his dam is the daughter of Orlando Cloud. - explosive grey genetics are waiting to pop out of this male. We have spotted a brushstroke of grey on his rear right leg, so we are waiting to see if that will creep into the blanket area and make him a rose grey.

"Rocket" (his barn name because he zooms around the pastures like a rocket) is a well developed, well conformed young male with fiber to match. We are watching as he matures and aren't quite willing to let him go 100% because we like what we see in him!
