Lucy took on her first breeding which was a maiden breeding for Polson (Orlando Cloud grandson)as well. She delivered very matter of factly too! Those two produced a gorgeous medium silver grey girl we named Pixie. She has a permanent smile. I repeated that breeding and it was a repeat! MSG Female named Posie. She seems just a wee bit more square and dense. Lucy has been bred to our TB Preacher who competed with and Irish Meadows guy at the few shows a year we went to. When together, they were divided 50/50 on the championship.
Lucy was calm as a cria and then took on her crazy mom's personality somewhat (we won't be able to sell the mom because of her being very strong and unfriendly-unless she is ready to breed and then she is great for farm visitors to pet for hours!).calmer However, motherhood has made her a calmer girl to what I'd call aloof alpaca behavior. She is very easy to read for breeding purposes! Excellent Mom at the beginning of a grey making life. I'd had her offered in a package with Posie for a few months. No takers. She will be having a Preacher cria most likely. Her sister Monet (sold) had a spectacular black male from Preacher years ago. He doesn't get to breed many blacks and greys so I'd like to see this one.
