Aspen Ridge Augusto's Cochiti

Huacaya, Herdsire (Male), Proven, White, 3/4 Peruvian, 1/4 Chilean
ARI# 848626 | DOB: 9/25/2003
Bred in the high mountains of New Mexico, Cochiti (pronounced CO-chi-tee)is nothing short of spectacular. A large, tall male with a proud head and bearing, Cochiti has already impressed judges with his presence as well as his fleece in big company. His achievements include White Male Color Champion at both GWAS (Denver) and AlpacaFest West. More recently, he won White Color Champion and the award for Best Crimp in the AWE Fleece Show 2006. Included in that competition was the White Color Champi...

Grazing Hills Marathon Monday
| AOA# 31543781  | Beige
Monday puts out some amazing fleeces on her crias! But, she herself ALSO has a gorgeous fleece!
Continual fineness over the years, and a heavy blanket weight each year, she is a fantastic female!

She was bred again to our Ephraim in Spring 2019. She was injured while being bred at another farm and has a hind leg that she walks funny on. It doesn't seem to inhibit her being bred or problems with delivery.

We bred to Altair's Sterling (a Dark Rose Gray) and is due July 2020.

Description

What do you get when you pair a Diomedes/Running Late line with Cochiti?...something amazing! Hezekiah's fleece is incredibly dense for a 16.3 micron, and he has that gorgeous 57 curve statistic. What isn't measured on a histogram is brightness, and his is off the charts.

It didn't hurt any that his dam had a 12 micron fleece at her first shearing...her total stats took our breath away...12.4, 2.2, 17.6, 0.2!! Does she ever have a great handle?!

He has a proud, kingly stance with upright posture, and he thinks he is king of the farm!
He's always ready for a breeding and gets his job done!

His first cria, Grazing Hills Liberty, was born July 4th, 2016. She is a beautiful Dark Fawn that was up and running within an hour of her birth! Liberty's fleece was so dense and rolling, that we rebred her Dam, Charisma, to Hezekiah. Hoping for another beauty!

Hezekiah had 2 crias in summer 2017. Both are a beautiful medium fawn color, with fiber from head to toe! In 2018, he threw 3 more fawn girls and a medium fawn boy!

We are anxiously awaiting to see what else he throws for us again!
