And from the dam...oh yea...Bisturi. Not only Bisturi...but Linnea is Persephone's daughter. Oh my goodness. Look closer. NGG Onyx. There it is. This dam is loaded!

We have chosen to play on her background in grey for her next breeding by matching her up with Granite Signature before he left for Canada (he now resides with Arriba Linea in Canada). This Snowmass Silver Signature son may prove to be an interesting match for her. Her first two offspring have been nothing short of amazing. We will keep our fingers crossed for this next pairing.

**Update Summer 2024 - Trouble's first cria has hit the ground and he is a spitting image of his sire - a jet black 19.5# cria with incredible conformation and from all outward appearances at a few hours old, he has fiber characteristics to match. He will be one to watch.

**Update May 2022 - shearing this male was amazing. The coal black blanket is stunning. The frame on this yearling is stunning. He stands out in the field of green with his well-balanced, correct, upright conformation as he gazes across the pasture to the females. We know he will replace his sire on herdsire row one day. It doesn't bother us that a few grey spots have appeared on his neck (thanks to grey genetics from his dam). It is a nod to the sire for passing the baton to this male.

Blacktastic. Get to know the name.

Jet black with rock solid conformation and fiber to match. Absolutely thrilling to see a 6 month old male snag a first place ribbon at the National show in a very competitive class of 10 that had all the "big names" in it.

Blacktastic (aka "Trouble") has a picture perfect profile and straight on conformation - showing off excellent style and body balance with his strong bone and topline. He has a perfect bite and a true-to-type huacaya head. His fiber compliments his frame - incredibly bright, soft, consistent architecture across the blanket and it is both fine and dense - hard to achieve in black.

Truly, as one judge called it - "he will be a contender". He is.
